How accurate do the start and end dates need to be?​​​​

The project start and end dates are estimated dates. It's best practice to overestimate the end date.​​

Why do you need our Tax ID?​

TCEQ uses the Tax ID in the Notice of Intent application to determine if entities are registered to operate in the state.​

What if I don't have a Tax ID?​

Individuals can apply for permit coverage. All entities will be required to obtain a Tax ID to complete their Notice of Intent application.​

Can anyone be designated the signatory?

For corporations, the application shall be signed by a responsible corporate officer. For a partnership or sole proprietorship, the application shall be signed by a general partner or the proprietor, respectively. For a municipality, state, federal, or other public agency, the application shall be signed by either a principal executive officer or a ranking elected official.

What is a STEERS ER number?

A State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS) account is required to access the ePermitting system that TCEQ uses to collect reports and permit applications. Please see our 10 steps to create a STEERS account page.
